Nürnberg: Altstadt

Looks like it's time to finish this off with a final huge photo dump. Brace yourself, it's pretty long.

Regensburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station)

One of the four main towers and the old city wall which surrounds the Altstadt

The streets

Panorama from Kaiserburg, looking south towards the city

A sign on the side of a university building "Every begining is difficult." Note the pockmarks from bullets

The Pegnitz river

Lunch: Nurembergers in a roll

"...and stay out of Woolworth!" Sometimes Europe feels like a time machine.

Another tower and the city wall

Döner: mystery meat + veggies + spicy cheese + a warm roll = delicious

A gate leading into the Altstadt

Rental bike - you call the number and they give you the combination to the lock

looks authentic

ICE Inter-City Express trains - nice but expensive. My ticket covered unlimited travel on trains and public transportation in Bavaria for the entire day (for only 22 Euro!) but I was stuck with the slower Regional Express trains.

That's it for now.
